At exnaton, we continuously improve our platform based on customer feedback, support requests, and insights from our users. This latest release introduces several enhancements designed to improve security, simplify administration, and create a better experience for new users.

Improved experience for first-time users

To further improve the onboarding experience for new users, we have completely redesigned the first-time user experience on the platform.

New users are now welcomed with:

  • Clearly labeled sample data
  • Interactive previews of platform functionality
  • Tutorials and demos showcasing key features
  • A more intuitive, engaging, and informative user experience

The sample content helps users immediately understand the value of the platform and explore its most important features from day one.

As soon as real customer data, such as consumption or generation data, becomes available, the demo content is automatically replaced with personalized information. This creates a seamless transition from preview to actual platform usage.

This new user experience will be activated on your system by the end of June 2026.

Two-Factor Authentication now available

Security remains a top priority for us. That's why Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is now available for the exnaton platform.

If you are interested in enabling 2FA for your organization, please contact us at info@exnaton.com.

More flexibility with differentiated tariff names

Many utilities manage a growing portfolio of energy products, often requiring detailed internal naming conventions while keeping customer-facing communication simple and easy to understand.

To support this, we have introduced differentiated tariff names across the platform.

Administrators can now define:

  • An internal tariff name used in the Backoffice for operational clarity and management
  • An external tariff name displayed to customers in the portal and app

This allows utilities to maintain structured internal processes while providing a consistent and user-friendly experience for end customers.

The feature was developed based on requests from multiple customers and is now available as part of the latest release.

New Invoice Cancellation functionality

Managing billing corrections is now easier and more transparent.

With the new Cancel Invoice functionality, administrators can quickly reverse incorrectly issued invoices and make the necessary adjustments before generating a corrected invoice.

When an invoice is cancelled:

  • The invoice is marked as inactive
  • The affected billing period becomes available for corrections such as e.g. tariff changes
  • A cancellation invoice is generated for audit and compliance purposes
  • A corrected invoice can then be created once the required changes have been made

The feature supports both individual invoice cancellations and bulk actions, making it easier to manage larger correction processes.

To improve transparency, administrators can also view the complete invoice history, including original invoices, cancellations, and replacement invoices, directly within the billing section.

This enhancement simplifies billing corrections, improves traceability, and reduces the manual effort required when handling invoice adjustments.
