When we launched our company in 2020, our billing platform PowerQuartier was built specifically for electricity trading within neighborhoods — or as they say in Switzerland, in the Quartier. Our goal was simple: empower local communities to share renewable energy seamlessly.
Since then, our platform has evolved. Today, we enable utilities and energy providers to launch advanced use cases across the new energy world — from dynamic electricity tariffs and EV Smart Charging to prosumer tariffs and energy sharing.
To reflect this broader impact, we’re growing beyond our roots and uniting our vision under one strong, clear brand: Exnaton.
The name exnaton is inspired by the Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten (pronounced Echnaotan), who elevated the sun above the gods and introduced one of the earliest forms of monotheism. In a similar spirit, Exnaton represents a shift toward recognizing the power of the sun — and renewable energy — as a central force for our future.
